A child’s future depends always on the stepping stone that is laid by the parents. All parents should be very careful about the way they mould their child. Parents play a major role where education and spiritual life is concerned. Parents must always grow with their children. Always give then your shoulder so that they can lean on it and grow up comfortably. Never let the children down, they should always feel your love and strength within them. Once the base is strong the rest will fall in line. This base is to be given only by us parents.

Reading is one of my hobbies. I would always love to read, but the time factor is the main problem. After the whole day’s work is done there is no time to read. I love reading this Indian Magazine called Women’s Era. All the short stories are really mind touching. All the stories have a moral to tell. There are cooking recipes and each time there is something new that can be tried. There is a section where ladies could ask personal questions and seek doctor’s advice. Moreover there are topics that ladies can read and apply in their daily life.

It is extremely important to exercise proper fire safety. All people should know how to operate a variety of fire extinguishers and also learn the difference between the various types. I try to fix up a routine but at times it goes for a toss. I get up at 05:30 hrs and I am on my feet from then. I prepare the children for school, get their food packs ready and wake my husband. I give him his black tea, by then the children leave home to school. Breakfast is prepared for both of us. My husband steps out for work, I then start with the household chores. At noon, children come have their lunch and take a nap. Wake them up, sit with their studies. Serve dinner and go to sleep by 22:30 hrs.

The person I adore the most in this wide world is my maternal uncle – mother’s brother. There is no person I can compare to him. He has a style of his own. I lost him twenty six years back but all I know is that he is immortal. There are so many incidents in my daily life where I have wished that if my uncle was alive this issue could have been solved so easily. He was a well known Dentist by profession and he is even today the talk of the town. He had a solution for any problem on earth.

I served this company for the longest period in my life. Everyday during this tenure of five years was an adventure. There were new things to learn, new people to meet so on and so forth. Above all, I had also taken a handsome salary home that gave me the job satisfaction that I always wanted. I served for the Procurement / Logistics division where we were six ladies inclusive of the manager. All work and no play would make us ladies dull and so we were serious wherever work was concerned and also had fun equally. Great experience!!!!

My daughter is the biggest God given gift. Like every mother, I wanted her to participate in anything possible. When she was just five years old, I sent her for classes to learn a form of Indian Classical Dance called Bharathnatyam. I still remember her first performance on the stage. She was given a heavy costume to wear, the make up and the hair style all together gave her a totally different look.  I was so tensed that she does not forget her steps on stage but to my surprise she had danced so well that the whole crowd had given her a big applause.

The only place I have ever longed to visit is the Victoria Falls that is situated in Livingstone, Zambia. It is such a fantastic place that one should never miss. There is a hanging bridge called the Knife Edge Bridge, the experience of a walk on this bridge cannot be explained. Especially when the waterfall is in its full force there is just a roaring, blaring noise and dense mist. The event of crossing this bridge is so scary and thrilling, we would feel that we have lost hold and would fall because the bridge swings and beneath it is deep water.
